Today, on 28.07.2009 at 15.33 clock is our son Justin was born. After the doctors had first tried the little ones elicit contractions via drip and oxytocic tablets, it finally seemed advisable to get him by caesarean section. It weighs 3630 grams and is 50 cm long. Encouraging was that he did not have to be ventilated. Justus has a so-called trunk-heart failure (in full:: truncus arteriosus communis = common arterial trunk) Otherwise, as the prenatal tests had been predicted. This heart defect causes the pressure on the lungs too big, so he will probably need surgery in a few days already. For this purpose, it is brought to Cologne in the heart center.
When I recovered from that event, there is more to Justus and his birth.
Oh yes, of course he is the cutest baby in the world! :-)
